About - Urano de Cartigny is the modern Selle Français stallion. With a number of successful achievements start with being the 5 year old French Champion at Fontainebleau. 

In 2016, he was notably 2nd in the Grand Prix Pro1 and 3rd in the 1.50m Grand Prix of Pontivy, 4th in a 1.45m at the CSI2* of Le Mans, 5th in a 1.45m at the CSI2* of Fontainebleau, 6th in the Grand Prix Pro 1 of Auvers, 8th in the Grand Prix Pro 1 of Lamballe, ranked in the CSI2* Grand Prix of Saint-Lô.

Sire - Sire, Diamant de Semilly, topped the WBFSH Sire Rankings for the second time in 2016, having been inside the top ten since 2012. During his career, he was French national champion and WEG team gold medallist in 2002, and European team silver medallist in 2003. He sadly passed away in 2022 at the age of 31 and leaves a legendary host of offspring.

Damline - His dam Esperance d'Elle produced Poesie de Cartigny ISO 132. Poesie was classified Elite at 5 years-old during the Grande Semaine de l'Elevage. She is the dam of Candy d'Elle (P. Leprévost), winner of a 1.50m at Bordeaux CSIW; Condor d'Elle ISO 131, finalist in the French Championship for 5-year-olds, Glamor d'Elle, finalist in the French Championship for 6-year-olds. 

Progeny - Urano has produced 4 approved stallions including Falcone Mouche who competed at Grand Prix level aged 7. In 2022, he was ranked 27th best sire of young horses by gains in the classic cycle in the SHF ranking. He is also the sire of Jabala de Rima who was crowned French Champion of two-year-old mares. Fala Brecourt performed in 1.45m events under British colours, Epson au Heup performed in 1.45m events with Hugo Breul, Epson des Fresnes, performed in 1.45m events under Czech colours, Elite d'Elle, very good winner in 1.40m events under German colours, Enamored of Elle, performer in 1.40m events with William Fletcher, Festival de Gerbal, Foreine de Vaux and Fugama de Briere, performers in international 7-year-old events, Flex Mouche, performer in CSI2* with Ken Balsiger, Del-Uriana, Elton de l'Abbaye, Farah Paulois and Fantasia d'Elle, performers in 1.40m classes, Greenwich d'Urville, a very good winner in international 6-year-old classes.
