About - This strikingly beautiful, colourful chestnut is a real eye-catcher with an extremely strong, stable back. Madness has three very good gaits, characterised by a striding walk, an active trot, and a light, ground-covering canter that's appropriate for today's modern show jumping. At the jump, Madness impresses with his scope, excellent technique, and powerful foothold. He also has excellent rideability. In his aptitude test and his first sport test, he received scores above 9 for free jumping, willingness to perform, and temperament. He has achieved victories up to medium level and was a finalist at the World Championships in Lanaken finishing in 9th place. 

Sire - His sire Kannan was internationally successful with Francois Mathy Jr. and Michel Hécard. He has produced over 200 international show jumping horses, including the Olympic Champion Nino des Buissonets and Hickstead Derby winner Adventure de Kannan, and has been placed in the top group of the world WBFSH ranking for years; in 2016, he lies in fifth for jumping and tenth for eventing; an exceptional feat as no other stallion appears in the rankings for more than one discipline. He is the sire of CCI4* event horses Billy Beware, who has won six international classes and finished sixth at Badminton 2014, his first CCI4*, and Ogustin du Terroir, who was second in the Vairano Nations Cup and fourth in the under-25 CCI3* at Bramham. He sired the winner of the 2016 Westphalian licensing, Karajan, who sold in the ensuing auction for over €600,000.

Damline - Through the granddam Ravenna by Caretino x Corofino I x Caletto, the line traces back to the Holsteiner line 5118. The horses My Love, Cooley Enno, and Fly, half-siblings of the dam, are successful in show jumping up to 1.40m and eventing at CIC2. The dam's sire, Emarald van het Ruytershof, was successful at all competitions around the world under Harrie Smolders (NLD) and has also demonstrated outstanding breeding achievements with his NK horses.

Progeny - Madness' offspring are strong-types, bright and athletic.
